Bharti Airtel outsourcing voice and back office operations to Firstsource Solutions
India’s leading private telecom operator Bharti Airtel has announced that they have signed on an outsourcing deal with Firstsource Solutions.
Firstsource Solutions would now be offering voice and back office operations to its 66 million mobile customers.
The two companies did not reveal the financial aspects of this deal.
Firstsource would be providing Airtel with services like customer accounting, VAS provisioning, fraud and credit monitoring, customer service, collections, customer retention.
They would also be setting up new centers for Airtel in Vashi, New Bombay and Chennai.
Bharti Airtel’s Director, Customer Service and Information Technology, Jai Menon spoke about this deal: “The partnership will support our extraordinary growth and allow us to focus on our core business of creating innovative products and services for our customers and our partners.”
Firstsource’s Joint Managing Director and COO Raju Venkatraman added: “We look forward to leveraging our process expertise to help Airtel get better operational flexibility, productivity and increased customer satisfaction”.
