Users would get unlimited access to the content on this Virgin Mobile service for just Rs 5 per day.

P Madhavan, chief sales and distribution officer of Virgin Mobile spoke about this new mobile phone device: “Youth today are faced with a situation where they have no stylish CDMA handsets in the price range below Rs 1,500. Even a GSM service provider’s handset bundled offer does not really appeal to them because of lack of attractive handsets. vTrendy is a no compromise deal for youth since it combines a stylish handset to suit their budget, is loaded with features such as FM Radio, 65K color, and Long Messaging Service (LMS), and is bundled with an offer tailored just for them.”

PATHETIC!!! ABSOLUTELY AND DISGUSTINGLY PATHETIC! Want to know why? Read on… 2 months after I bought the VTrendy, the battery charging system displayed errors, my phone began to hang indefinitely and my display screen stopped working completely. I couldn't see anything except a dark blue glow on my screen. I couldn't read messages or see who had called me. Although the phone is under a 1 year warranty, I've gone to 4 locations, 2 of them listed by Virgin mobile as authorized service centres, and they told me that THEY DON'T ACCEPT THESE PHONES ANYMORE. The only remianing services centres are in New Bombay. That's practically in another city!!! The VTrendy was an absolute waste of money, a pathetically slow and error-prone phone that made even simple text messaging a herculean task. Moreover, I had to use it with handsfree because of the heat and radiation it produced, which often gave me a splitting headache and made me feel nauseous. I wouldn't recommend this phone to anyone.
