Bharti DTH test launched in Gurgaon
Market source say that Bharti Airtel has test launched their DTH services in the Gurgaon city in Haryana.
The company is said to have delivered around 80-100 connections in select homes in Gurgaon.
This would lead to a nationwide launch in the coming months.
Bharti would take on the existing players in this segment of the market including Zee Dish TV and Tata Sky. Reliance is also all set to enter the market with their Big TV DTH service.
A Bharti representative was quoted as saying: “Bharti is in the final stages of closing its interconnection deals with various broadcasters. It is expected to offer over 220 channels once commercially launched.”
