Airtel DTH to be launched within two months?!
Market sources are stating that Bharti Airtel would be launching their DTH services in the next two months.
Reliance too is all set to launch their Big TV DTH services any day in the coming weeks.
Tata Sky and Dish TV are the existing two big players in this segment.
Atul Bindal, president of Bharti Airtel has been quoted as saying: “We are in a high state of preparedness to launch our DTH services. A trial launch has been done among the employees and the feedback is very good. We are putting in the last minute changes to reach the last town, and to have a footprint like the (Airtel’s) prepaid recharge value chain.”
The company aims to use the Airtel brand to boost customer confidence with the launch of their DTH services.
They already have millions of wireless and broadband customers. They are likely to benefit from targeting them directly.
