Reliance Big TV launch in Mumbai on August 19
News Media Company Business Standard has reported that Reliance ADAG would be launching their much awaited Big TV DTH services in Mumbai tomorrow.
Reliance has already missed some of the rumored deadlines reported in the media for the launch of their DTH services.
The service is currently open to Reliance employees and PCO operators using Reliance services.
Business Standard quoted a company representative: “We will launch Big TV in Mumbai on August 19. Big TV will be launched with over 200 channels in the basic bouquet, the largest offering compared with Dish TV and Tata Sky.”
The service would feature 25 movie channels, 8-10 special interactive offerings in addition to several gaming channels.
The company is using MPEG-4 compression technology which enables them to offer more channel on the same bandwidth.
Reliance is known for their competitive pricing and it remains to be seen if they manage to provide cheaper services compared to existing players in the market including Zee Dish TV and Tata Sky.

Hi All,
I request all the readers to never ever take the “Reliance BIG TV” connection.
I can say this is one of the worst out of the worst company/service that I have ever seen.
I am more than 100% dissatisfied with the services/customer support that has been provided by Reliance BIG TV group. (sorry, actually there is no service from customer care end at all.)
If anybody wants to know my experience, call anytime on +919966222601 for further details, I will be happy to assist all of you and will be more happy if asap the company/service will be closed.
