Reliance GSM gets interconnection from other players
TRAI has confirmed that the conflict between Reliance Communications and other GSM operators is now over.
GSM players in the country have now agreed to provide interconnection to RCOM’s GSM network.
Nripendra Misra, chairman, TRAI said in a statement: “There is no row. They will honor the TRAI directive.”
BSNL, Airtel and Vodafone all have agreed to the TRAI’s directive which has averted legal hassles for all the companies.
COAI Director General T V Ramachandran spoke about the new developments: “We are happy that we are moving towards a resolution under the good offices of TRAI on the matter in a fair and equitable manner. Since there seems to be all-round efforts to resolve the issue, there is no need of going to TDSAT over the matter.”
