Mobile phones a necessity in these tough times for Indians

India remains one of the few markets where mobile phone market continues to see a massive growth.

Along with China, it accounts for millions of new connections every month.

Anshul Gupta, principal research analyst at Gartner stated in a report that even in these tough times, Indian customer looks at the mobile phone as a necessity.

In fact, this is the device which is helping the Indian customer stay afloat during these tough economic conditions.

India saw an addition of 10.42 million new mobile subscribers in October. It had added 10.07 million in September.

The country now has more than 325.73 million mobile users. This is a phenomenal number.

One fact however remains. Cheaper mobile phones are becoming more popular as customers are avoiding replacing their handsets with new expensive ones.
