Nova netPC from BSNL available in two packages of Rs.1,999 and Rs.2,999
Government owned broadband service provider BSNL is now offering Nova netPC in two packages. These packages are worth Rs. 1999 and Rs. 2999.
BSNL is collaborating with Chennai-based IT solutions company Novatium to provide these cheap computing solutions to their customers.
The company is aiming to add 9 million broadband connections across the country in the next couple of years.
This computing solution provides the user with a set top box, keyboard and mouse. The processing is done at a centralized server managed by BSNL.
The Rs. 1999 package comes with a monthly subscription of Rs. 199.
The Rs. 2999 package comes with a monthly subscription of Rs. 175.
Chairman and Managing Director of BSNL Kuldeep Goyal spoke about their plans: “Negotiations with the Universal Service Obligation Fund, a body mandated with scaling up rural telephony, are in an advanced stage on providing near-free broadband tariffs and subsidized customer end equipment for rural users.”
The company is also nearing the launch of their 3G services in the Indian market.
