Vodafone Friends Circle service launched in India

India’s mobile service provider Vodafone has announced the launch of a new service named Vodafone Friends Circle for their customers.

This service is designed to enable a group of people to call each other at cheap rates.

This package is available to both pre paid and post paid customers. It works for a group of five people with Vodafone connections. They can call each other at 20 paisa per min.

Vodafone said that the service can be activated through an SMS sent across as FRIENDS to a toll free number 144.

Harit Nagpal, Director Marketing and New Business, Vodafone Essar added about this new package launch: “We have seen that the bulk of a customer’s calls are made to a handful of numbers. The Vodafone Friends circle offer helps customers economize on their monthly mobile phone bills.”

The company said that the customers opting for this plan would have to pay every month a rental of Rs. 15 for the each number they choose. These numbers can be changed as per the requirement.
