Reliance Communications launches GSM services in Punjab

Reliance Communications has now launched their GSM services in the Punjab state. They are now working on launching their services in Jammu & Kashmir.

They have now become the first and only mobile service provider to offer both CDMA and GSM based services in Punjab.

Reliance regional hub head Arvind Kumar spoke at the launch of services in Punjab: “The service will cover 460 towns, 11,741 villages and a number of national, state and other highways, tourist and religious places throughout the state.”

Airtel and Idea are the dominating GSM players in this state. Kumar added about their plans for this region: “The difference we are offering over earlier service providers is the superior quality of service which customers will acknowledge through the customer experience programme.”
