9010100100: Number to SMS to call police in Hyderabad
Hyderabad police has launched a new service which would enable the city residents to call them by sending a SMS message.
This SMS message has to be delivered to this number: 9010100100.
The service unlike calling 100 is not free as the user would have to pay for the SMS message to his mobile service provider.
Users can use keywords to identify his complaint:
t message for traffic related problem
te message for terror related problem
c message for crime related problem
w message for women harassment related problem
Hyderabad city police commissioner B Prasada Rao spoke about the launch of this new service: “Citizens can send SMS, preferably, when life and property is under immediate threat or when affected by a crime or accident or witnessed it and see no police personnel around.”
