Tata Indicom launches Fair Usage Policy
After Airtel Broadband, it is the turn of Tata Indicom to launch its own fair usage policy.
The company states that if the user goes beyond a set limit, the company would suggest him to move to a higher bandwidth plan.
If the customer continues to remain in violation of the fair usage policy, the company reserves the right to suspend or terminate the customer’s account immediately.
We have to admit that the limits set by Tata Indicom are somewhat generous compared to Airtel Broadband… but they still are unfair.
The limits set by the company are:
64kbps: 5GB
128kbps: 20GB
256kbps: 45GB
384kbps: 70GB
512kbps: 80GB
1mbps: 90GB
2mbps: 105GB
4mbps: 125GB
We need not say that the more you pay, the less you can download in the end!

i Just bought a tata indicom "unlimited" plan. its been less than a week and ive already used about 10GB of the bandwidth. FUP is truly bad. Someone needs to complain to the TRAI and DOT. be the one to start a petition

dude make sure you know what happens when you use it over the limits.
i don't remember if they charge you per MB or simply disconnect you!

spoken to them already, luckily i took it in written from the salesboy that there would be no coercion etc. for excessive downloads so theyr also a bit confused, they can advise me lower usage and later disconnect me, cant charge anything as its not in the agreement.
wait and watchis all i can say.
if trai is corrupt the lobbyists from the ISPs will have their way, if they aint then i guess wer plain simple luck
