Indian market saw 13.82 million new mobile subscribers in February

Indian mobile market saw an addition of 13.82 million new mobile subscribers in February.

This is down from 15.41 million new subscribers in the month of January. But that was largely due to the launch of Reliance GSM service.

Telecom Regulatory Authority of India said in a statement that the growth in mobile subscribers remains strong.

With this, the total number of mobile subscribers in India rose to a total of 376.12 million at the end of February.

Reliance managed to add 3.3 million new subscribers in February. They now serve 69.6 million customers.

Bharti Airtel added 2.7 million mobile subscribers in February. They now have 91.1 million customers.
