ZTE to provide equipment to Loop Telecom

Chinese networking industry giant ZTE has announced a deal with Indian mobile service provider Loop Mobile.

As part of this deal, ZTE would provide end-to-end network equipment to Loop which has won a licence to offer pan-India based GSM mobile services.

The deal includes supply of telecom equipments and other services.

S Bandopadhay, CTO Loop Telecom spoke about this deal signed with ZTE: “ZTE has been selected as the supplier for the core GSM network, access and service layer. We are actively involved and committed to a successful network rollout of loop Telecom. We are delighted to partner ZTE for rolling out the pan India network. We selected ZTE because of their capability to deliver innovative, custom-made products and services based on their strong R&D support in GSM domain.”

Dr D K Ghosh, CMD, ZTE Telecom India had this to say: “This is an extremely exciting opportunity for us and we are delighted to have been entrusted with the Loop Telecom business given the strength of the competition in the market. ZTE has made rapid strides in 2008 with our unique strengths of lower TCO , technical & creative capability, innovative R&D and unmatched superior financing, we have become more competitive. All these winning qualities we have offered to Loop Telecom. We intend to be not only their vendor but their trusted partner in their telecom ventures.”
