10.84 million new GSM subscribers last month in India
India continues to grow as a mobile market. And new records are made every now and then.
The GSM operators in the market managed to add around 10.84 million new subscribers last month which is a new record.
They had added 9.69 million new subscribers in January with a lot of help from Reliance which had launched their GSM operations around that time.
The latest figure does not include the numbers from Reliance GSM as they do not reveal separate numbers. Reliance is a major CDMA player in the Indian market.
Market analysts believe that Reliance GSM would have added at least around 2.5 million to 2.7 million GSM subscribers.
