Airtel planning to outsource last mile connectivity
Bharti Airtel is one of the largest private internet service providers in the country.
The company is now planning to outsource the last mile broadband connectivity.
The aim is to focus on their core business operations while cutting costs.
Airtel is said to be in talks with several players including Alcatel-Lucent and Cisco for a possible deal.
A company representative had this to say: “Developing a strong partner ecosystem is part of Airtel’s unique business strategy. However, as a company policy, we do not comment on any market speculation.”
