Tata Indicom GSM launch expected next month

Tata Teleservices has announced that they are planning to launch their GSM operations sometime next month.

The company already is a major player in the country’s CDMA market.

Reliance has already launched their GSM operations. They are now offering both CDMA and GSM services.

Tata is planning to offer some high end services through their GSM operations. They are likely to use the expertise provided by partner NTT DoCoMo for this initiative.

Lloyd Mathias, chief marketing officer, TTSL spoke about their plans: “Our tie-up with Japanese operator DoCoMo will enable us to offer a wide variety of world-class products and services. Though our plans are not concrete yet, for GSM, our focus will be more on revenue share than the number game.”
