Tata Indicom launches A-GPS service for CDMA customers
Tata Teleservices has announced the launch of their own Assisted Global Positioning System service for their CDMA mobile users.
They are using technologies provided by Qualcomm and gpsOne for this new service.
Tata Indicom representative spoke about this service launch: “QUICKFINDER will ride on the benefits of A-GPS technology and provide reliability and enhanced applications support to our location-based services.”
The service is currently available in Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Jaipur and Ahmedabad.
It is also just available on two handsets right now: Blackberry 8830 World Edition and MotoRAZR V3.
