BSNL aiming for 7.5 million broadband customers this year

Indian government owned telecom giant BSNL has announced that they are aiming to get as many as 7.5 million broadband customers this year.

The company is currently serving close to around 3.7 million customers.

BSNL has seen strong demand for their broadband services in smaller towns and cities and they believe this would help them expand their subscriber base in the country.

The company is already offering broadband at subsidized rates in the rural areas which should also help them gain more customers.

Indian broadband market is pretty small at the moment. So there is enough room for growth for every player in the market.
