J S Sarma is the new chairman of TRAI
J S Sarma has taken over as the new chairman of Indian telecom regulatory body TRAI.
He was previously a member of TDSAT.
He replaces Nripendra Mishra.
A K Sawhney had been looking after the TRAI operations after Nripendra Mishra retired on March 22 this year.
TRAI said that Sarma is a well known expert in the telecom field.
He was previously the chairman of Telecom Commission from June 2005 to July 2006.
