A. Raja: 3G in India is a priority
India’s newly appointed minister of communications and information technology A Raja has admitted that the launch of 3G services in India is a priority.
Currently, only MTNL and BSNL are allowed to provide 3G services in the Indian market.
The private sector has yet to get the appropriate licenses for the same.
Raja said that the action for the 3G licenses is a priority for the government.
It remains to be seen how soon he can get the things in order to enable more players in the 3G segment of the market.
