South Korea broadband penetration is 95%
Boston-based Strategy Analytics has released a report on the broadband penetration in the countries around the world.
South Korea topped the charts with around 95% households connected to broadband internet.
Singapore and Netherlands were pretty close.
USA did rather badly with just around 60 percent of households having broadband connections at the end of last year. It was placed 20th on the list.
As many as five countries in the top 10 are in Asia.
Here are the top ten:
South Korea – 95%
Netherlands – 85%
Denmark – 82%
Taiwan – 81%
Hong Kong – 81%
Israel – 77%
Switzerland – 76%
Canada – 76%
Norway – 75%
So where is India? India is placed 57th on this list with just 2% broadband penetration.
