Vodafone India has special offer for Nokia N97 customers
Nokia and Vodafone are collaborating in the Indian market.
Nokia has just launched their N97 model internationally and they are planning to offer special packages in India with Vodafone.
The two companies are going to provide an exclusive free data plan for three months with this smartphone model in India.
The package would provide high speed internet connectivity using 2.75G and EDGE compatible networks.
The phone also comes loaded with A-GPS and electronic compass which enables the phone to detect its location.
Nokia N97 also is the first mobile phone from the company to come preloaded with their OVI digital media store.
Harit Nagpal, Director-Marketing and New Business, Vodafone Essar spoke about their collaboration with Nokia: “We are delighted to offer our customers even more choice with Nokia N97. We understand that a device like the Nokia N97 will enable greater internet connectivity, and hence we are coming up with special data plans to make accessing information on the net easier.”
V Ramnath, Director – Operator Channels, Nokia India added: “The Internet is now an everyday part of people’s lives, something they can’t live without and devices such as the Nokia N97 give them greater freedom to be always switched on. It is on their terms what they download, browse or upload to the web when and how they want. Moreover, they want easy, one touch access to information that is personally relevant. We, at Nokia, are committed to providing mobile phone users in India an enhanced mobile experience, leveraging the strength of our operator partners. With this initiative, we hope to take a step further towards our vision of delivering a highly personalized Internet experience to our customers.”

Some days ago, a few girls from Vodafone called up and abused me about not paying an incorrect bill of theirs. The call was from their people in Pune. They charged downloads on my phone that they refused to give details of. Seriously, go with Airtel or Idea. Vodafone and its service people suck.

Forgot to add, the exact words of the girls were ‘Teri aukat nahi thi phone ka bill bharne ki, to Vodafone ka connection kyon liya?” apart from stuff like ’saala’, ‘idiot’, etc. Good going, Vodafone!
