More Google Android smartphones to arrive soon in India

Indian market would soon get some more Google Android powered smartphones.

HTC, Samsung, LG and Motorola are all working on plans to bring their own Android powered devices to India.

HTC is already the largest manufacturer of Android powered smartphones in the world.

Google Android powered devices are likely to be positioned in the mid-to-high-end segment considering they are going to be loaded with high end features like large touchscreen displays.

Google claims that there are around 47 mobile phone makers around the world who are working on developing smartphones powered by Android platform.

The company said: “Globally, around 15-20 Android handsets will be launched by December. We expect some of these models will be soon shipped to India as well.”

HTC is already offer an Android device in India but it is priced at around Rs. 30,000.
