India gained 14.4 million new mobile subscribers in July
The numbers are out and they are phenomenal.
India gained around 14.4 million new mobile subscribers in the month of July.
With this, the country now has 442 million mobile users as per the latest information released by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India.
Market analysts believe that mobile phones have become an important communications tool for Indians and that is the reason why new subscribers are joining at a rapid speed despite the economic slowdown.
India had seen around 12 million new subscribers in the month of June.
TRAI added that the number of fixed line subscribers in the country went down from 37.54 million in June to 37.41 million in July.
