BSNL to treat entire north east India as a single zone
BSNL has announced that from September, all the states in the North East India would be treated as the same zone and local call rates would be applied.
The program covers seven states in the region.
To enable this service, an order was passed earlier this month which would become applicable from September 1.
The company said that from next month, SMS and data charges while roaming would be as per the local rates and incoming would be free.
This is a good offer from the company which would benefit people living in North East India. We hope private operators follow the same.
