Airtel Mobile advertises before paid Hello Tunes
Here is a sad new development from the company we now hate to love. Airtel.
Airtel Mobile apparently has now started advertising Hello Tunes before a caller gets to hear the Hello Tunes selected by the receiving party.
The advertisement lasts for around 7 seconds and then the actual song begins.
This is a pretty disgusting new development considering Airtel charges for their Hello Tunes service.
So, they are advertising through a channel which the customer has already paid for.
We are hoping that sanity prevails at Airtel headquarters and they stop this new behaviour which is probably illegal.
At least one user has already cancelled the service because of this ‘unacceptable’ policy by the company:

At least the boring tring tring is far better than listening to ads. Airtel is seriously crossing the line here.
