Sify Broadband cheats its users royally

I cannot believe this, another round I lost to Sify I wish we get some good internet subscribers in my area soon since this has gone way too far now. Customer care has no answer to my questions and they invite me to cancel my account telling me they can file an application for a refund. Is God mocking me, he knows Sify is the only sevice provider in my area or is he still testing my patience. Bless us with another better service provider to end the regin of this evil and stupid corporation ignoring its customers.
Sify cheats its users royally, the average consumer is not aware of most of its tricks and takes it for granted, like on the unlimited download packages were you aware that there is a download limit on that too. Most users are not aware of that and those who are find it the hard way by a download cap set on these unlimited accounts. The truth is you can download only 150MB data in a day, surprisingly this also includes uploads from your computer if your running a server or sharing some files. Now people uploading from you usually in other countries get very good speeds compared to yours since they have real broadband connections and this upsets you download to upload ratio. There you are barely making it the hotmail webpage and at the same time blamed for heavy usage of files since someone is uploading from you. First, I couldn’t believe when i was told this by a “customer care executive” ooohhhhhhhh !!!! but then he told me that I don’t use my connection like a normal user.
aaaaggghhhhh !!!!! Another blame I don’t how many I would have to take before Sify finally admits its our fault we don’t have the infrastructure to support the facilities , but we like to lie to our customers and hide the limitations they should be aware of before signing up.

Sify has recently changed its 48 kbps “unlimited” plan to 64 kbps “unlimited” along with increasing the price of the package. Earlier, with the 48 kbps one, I used to get up to 11 kbps download speed; now it is hardly 6 kbps. Pure cheating…keep going sify.

Yes indeed when it is 48 kbps �unlimited(150 mb per day )� plan i used to get b/w 9-11 kbps.But now in 64 kbps �unlimited� with increased price of the package download speed decreased and locked at 7 kbps;
inaddition to this 1 day decrese for 150mb download and 1 more day for every 25 mb.And even they did not informed this.I lost my 1 month pack in 15 days

I too am being cheated by sify. For the past 2 months i cannot get a continuse Ping from the Gateway. The sify enginner'z have blamed every thing from my Computers to the cable to the switch to the server to the fiber link. Everytime i call the madras number the same story like puppet's they say SORRY will look into the matter. I guess all the Call center guy'z are paid only to say sorry. Their free night surfing is a joke coz I just cannot connect in the night. I will be leaving this sorry ISP SIFY is truely (Satyam Is ******* You) SIFY are CHEATERS A Disguested User. Roymario.

The sify enginner’z have blamed every thing from my Computers to the cable to the switch to the server to the fiber link. I am a foreign student in Pune,India.Please forgive that to say this but in your country some guys cheated millions and millions of people and nobody’s care what they are doing to them.like roads in pune.Actually i don’t call them roads.it’s mostly like a village than a sity.there are a lot of dangerous pot-holls in the roads and nobody’s not complainin and just drive in this hell.anyway….and about the sify.these guys are best in cheating people.I am a SIFY user for 1.5 years.In this period i had a lot of problem whit this shit till now i’m really fed-up.once they have disconnected my internet,when i called them they’ve told me that you have downloaded 1.5GB in one day.i was shocked.i explain them that with this fucking speed it’s not possible to download that much in 12 hours but they just said we don’t know,that you are telling is technical and our engineer is not here now.just like that.Now,for 10 days i have problem with my connection and nobody’s care.10 days.i’ve called everywhere see many people and the problem is still continue.this is the last straw.If you know any good ISP please share with me then maybe i can use internet without any problem though i doubt it very much.thanks

I have another TATA Broadband 64 kbps (truly unlimited)connection for my son’s computer. it is P3 and have 128 RAM but still works faster than sify 64kbs while my computer has 256 RAM and 3.06GB processor. More than that they charge 468/= per month and sify charges 620/= per month.
their connection is prepaid and wireless without any problem. and for sify 3 to 5 days they have intercontinent underwater cable break problem, as well as local cable problems too.
their customercare people talk to u like theydont care for anything or anyone not even the CEO of their corporation.
u could simply say WAH! kya service hai.

I too am being cheated by sify. A day before the i checked the sify the net is going up and down .i just pinged the gateway and i could not believe that for every 4 packets recieved 1 or 2 packets are lost.this is the terrible thing of sify.they are very inconsistant. i cannot get a continuse Ping from the Gateway. And above all these their local service number hardly responds to my call.
the download speed of my plan is 64kbps and I dont even get above 10 kbps speed for download.After reading the above comments from the victims like me ,I left this comment.

I have never had such a worst experience in my life by browsing at Sify internet cafe Trichy junction bus stand center.Where I re-charged for Sacheens 50 and twice had to logout in 7 minutes and 15 moniutes wherein my browsing was not evern for a second.The internet incharge boy had wasted my browsing time inspite of my several request.
I could have rather put that Rs 50 to a begger who would have prayed for me.
