I think that the autho has really no knowledge of the telecom market, as HFCL connect is the largest among all others telecom operators in punjab. Also I am very much satisfied with connect and I am sure that it still can beat all the rumours that are created due this lousy article

It appears that the author has not done sufficient research before writing this article. I am an Idea subscriber and i have been following the progrss of the company closely for quite some time. The author comments that “I have a feeling that Idea may be sold off to some kind of a consortium in the near future”.
I would lke to know what is the basis for such “feelings”. I suppose it would be highly inappropriate to make judgements based on intuitions alone!
As of now Idea is reaping the benefits of the cabinet decision allowing 74% foreign stakes in telecom sector. STT and Telecom malaysia have a sizable stake(to the tune of 47%) in the company and with TATAs slowly withdrawing their stake I believe the company is all set to make it big on its own. Personally I am keenly awaiting the IPO to hit the market.
