Delusional BSNL

Delusion can strike anyone but BSNL puts up a brave face every time it screws up. I had earlier mentioned that BSNL is getting aggressive over Broadband because it is loosing its subscriber base rapidly. People are fed up of the poor customer service; there seems to be no fixed up accountability in the system.

This media report mentions that Lucknow has just 20 subscribers and BSNL aims to increase that to 35000 by next year! I mean that defies logic to any rational person. How have they assumed this? Further, it says that BSNL is shrinking in its customer base. Putting up a brave face it crows about its cheap broadband access. International media seems to have taken this up a great gusto.

It frustrates me to no extent when they talk of India finally “unleashing” the broadband revolution. These brain dead morons could for a change do some basic research and realize that BSNL is abusing its monopoly. A simple calculation would show that most of the copper cables are defunct; they seriously need to upgrade the same. My insider sources have confirmed this. Let us assume the above story on the face value and criticize BSNL.

Mr. Maran, are you listening?

you are absolutely right. in india every broadband internet service provider has rediculed the concept of broadband itself. though i am a subscriber of Bsnl Dataone. but i wil b leaving the service after june 30th because then there will be a limit of 1GB( i download 20GB in a month imagine getting a bill of Rs 40K . its Rs2/MB). First of all we should really congratulate our communications minister for given us such a narrow minded broadband policy and then we should sue all the broadband service providers.I would like you people to educate others for how they are being duped by these providers. please do so.though i am eagerly waiting for Reliance’s broadband service. these people brought the revolution in telecom hope the y do the same in this field too. love your good work.

The fact can not be denied that there had been lot of improvement in BSNL in all aspects in past years. BSNL has geared itself slowly and steadily to fight the competition.

There is special emphasis being put on customer care and marketing. Ample proof of this is borne by the fact that Indore is the first region to have a complete marketing division, an unheard concept, a couple of years ago in the BSNL. BSNL is beginning to understand the changes in the rules of the game in which it was a monopoly only 4-5 years back. BSNL seems to be getting aware of the changing market scenario and changing customer needs.
The problem here is not about right decision but about slow process of implementing any decision in any PSU. Specially in telecom companies it is high time to bring some change old CAG policies of procurement. Their arms are been blocked by rules and regulations which they need to follow. Still looking to the changes brought in last few years and the way in they have given sleep less nights to even private operators I believe BSNL management should be admired for that.

I had to leave BSNL because they treated me like dirt. I was online gaming a lot (big runescape fan) and I buy all my music online too. They wanted lots of Rs out of me and I contested it. I won in the end but what a battle!
