BSNL and the Indian Telecom Scenario
As a un-passioned and often cynical observer of the telecom scene, it appears more like a cat and mouse game. The regulator is staffed by a bunch of idiots; the original sinner, BSNL is staffed by a bunch of morons. Oh well, if that is the description; it suits them well.
For one thing is sure. The truth may never be known.
BSNL accuses TRAI of misplacing trust claiming that their plans were “leaked†and made public. TRAI obviously counters this.
In another instance of muscling its way out to tame BSNL, it pulls up this old behemoth. The issue at hand is the termination charge that BSNL is charging from the cellular operators to connect its Cell One customers.
The monthly figures for the month of may have been released. It is just not worth it to comment on the same. One thing always intrigues me. Why do these telco’s never report the number of disconnections? Or the “churn†that is famously referred to? Poor sods.
Truth alone triumphs. That was an old saying; no longer valid.
