This was written from a Sify’s own personal chain of cyber cafe’s coz my net was not working and the CTO was more interested in counting the cash collected from his cable TV business than getting my internet fixed. His partner (the actual owner of the Sify’s franchise actually work in a Bank full time). And he actually claims that he could not provide me good service coz I don’t let him do his work because I call him too many times.
So, asking for service leads to no services… Pretty darn interesting. As if, I don’t call him once… He will get my net fixed for permanent!

Sorry to inform you but I am writing this mail from a cyber cafe.
Net has been down since 8 pm yesterday. that means it ran for 2.5 hrs
max.
no one came to fix it yesterday.
no one came to fix it today till 11 am.
since 12am i am sitting at ur CTO’s office waiting for ur guys to come
and talk with my CTO.you say my line is on a UPS with 5 hrs backup.
CTO says its on an inverter with a single battery with a backup of god
knows what.now ur CTO says the problem is with the type of power cablin done on my
line. it needs to be replaced. mr. ashwini (who actually works in a
bank) had told the linesman 2 weeks back that the cabling need
replacement. 2 weeks still they are saying the same shit. am i supposed
to change the wiring? and if they are supposed to do this, what are
they waiting for? and this is when you have urself mailed me 2 times
that the whole cabling has been replaced. now ur CTO say something else
to you and something else to me. this is very nice of him!at this moment. no one is changing the wire.
at this moment. no one is fixing my net problem.
at this moment, i am writing a mail to u from a cybercafe… and after
this i am going back to the CTO hoping that the sify guys would have
reached there.sorry to say, i dont want an inverter backed backup for my line. i want
a ups based system as originally promised.and i am available on my cell () not my land line number coz
i am not going back to home unless my net is fixed…regards,

Too many customers can earn a good revenue, but in case of Sify, there are too many middlemen to eat up the dough. My cable operator charges all customers 10% extra (Rs. 1095/- for a sify package of Rs.995/-) for good service, because he claims he does not make enough from Sify. But a minor switch problem like ping RTO (which happens every 3 days like a routine) takes 12 hours to get fixed. If it happens on a Saturday, there are chances that it gets fixed on next Monday. So even though a 1 month unlimited plan costs Rs 995/-, I am paying Rs 1095/- plus Rs.50 for several phone calls to different people at the CTO office….. for a 22-24 days service. By the way, my CTO has no idea what is Pentium or Windows. But he knows Switches, CAT5 and RJ45… ironic, isnt it?
