Protest for Real Broadband in India
Finally, there is a glimmer of hope. My complaints to the higher ups have elicited some response. Someone from the Dept. of Public Grievances wrote back that the mail has been sent to someone in BSNL. Ditto for a consumer organization -VOICE. Someone from their legal cell has written back.
I am waiting for the final response from the BSNL higher ups. I would be glad to pay anything extra for something that is due to me. However, it is impossible for me to take the things lying down. Had it not been for my exams- I was planning to file a class action suit against BSNL. This entails that anyone can file a case against a company- if prime facie there is proof enough that there is abuse of dominant position in the market.
I find it extremely obscene that a company is monitoring each and every activity- albeit it beats common sense to install such billing servers in the first case. For how long do we have to suffer BSNL’s high handedness? Meanwhile, surprisingly Times of India reported snags with BSNL broadband in Lucknow. Clearly mentioned herein is the exasperation of the consumers. Surprising because BSNL remains a big spender on advertisements in the same newspaper. It must have taken a lot of guts to bite the hand that feeds them.
I had indeed planned a sort of a chain letter thing that I could send across to netizens. However, I desisted from the idea. However, I would surely ask you all for help here. I have a couple of email ids and it would make sense to complain to the higher ups. More the merrier!

I wanted a Hathway Broadband connection the offer looked good.So I paid the money and I was promised the connection in two days but it has been 13 days now without any connection and whenever I call them the only reply I get is “We will do it by today evening”.Disgusted I asked for a refund and they agreed and now I have to keep calling them for my refund.
Dont' opt for Hathway in Bangalore city since they have pathetic service.

My wife and I are British Citizens currently in Bangalore. On the 5th of October I paid Rs. 1516 to Tata Indicom for a Broadband Package (ref: 239258 and application number 1476976). They had previously informed me that the fee for installation would be Rs 1516. I told them I needed the connection by the 12th and they assured me it would not be a problem.
On the 10th I called to find out what the progress was and I was informed by Mr Vikas Suksena at Medallions (Tata Indicom contractors) that I would have to pay an additional amount of a few thousand Rupees to get the connection and that I would have to wait a few more weeks as well. I informed them that in light of this new development I was unhappy with the way they were doing business (i.e. quoting one rate and then asking the customer to pay additional amounts, agreeing one date and then changing this after receiving payment) and asked them to cancel my Broadband Request and issue me a refund.
On the 11th I received a cheque from VSNL Bangalore - for Rs 1516 but this was an account payee cheque and it was NOT made out to myself (as you would expect) but to themselves - i.e. VSNL Bangalore.
I have since called them nearly every other day and keep getting told that they are processing the refund and that a replacement cheque would be issued. It is now over 1 month since in cancelled to connection and we are still awaiting the refund.
I cannot believe that a company as big as Tata Indicom is carrying out its business activities in such an unethical manner - and that they are so slow to resolve simple matters - especially when it involves giving back money that they are not legally entitled to.
I would now like to pursue this matter with the consumer forum - I would be grateful for your advice.

I call them up everyday, I get a response that there is some wiring work still pending at the back-end, which will be done in 2 days. They take my number everyday, but never call me.
I asked the person (Anil Kalap), who come to my house and took the cheque, to refund the money, but that also has not happenned.
I hope higher management in Hathway will notice this and respond to me.

I have taken 64 kbps unlimited offer on 1st April from tataindicombroadband . Last 7 days internet is not working in my home. I am totally disgusted with the service . I am not expecting this type of bad service from vsnl and expecting a speedy action on this matter.
Last friday and also monday i have sent a mail to customercare about my complaint of internet connection. yesterday and today also i have informed to customercare through phone about my complaint. Till now i didn't get any phone call and also any mail from your customercare executive about my complaint. At the connection time tataindicom customercare excutive told me that they will provide the service within 24 hours but till now i didn't get any service.
I don't understand tataindicom is providing this type of bad service.
Still now I am not able to understabd what is the meaning of 64 kbps unlimited offer ?

I Rahul Magan want to tell the story and the happenings that are going on in tata a chor company . i was not financially fruad but also physically attacked by the customer care department because from the last 6 months i am looking for the justice and when i went to okhla office i was physically attacked by the customer care department. it seems wrong but that is a fact.
