BT to test 8Mbps ADSL broadband Max service
Having failed to attain much success with their SDSL technology in their domestic market, BT is now aiming for nirvana for the end user. The company is destined to now test their high speed 8Mbps ADSL broadband Max service with the initial launch slated for next month. BT would get it into full flow in the spring of the next year. This launch is very important for BT considering, it is losing customers to other ISPs offering better and faster connectivity with affordable rates.
The company had highly successful test trials and now wants to expand the horizon with a wider test launch in the market. The announcement was made by the Cameron Rejali, managing director, products, and strategy for BT Wholesale, who said that they received positive feedback and high demand from both service providers and end-customers involved in the trial.
They have already conducted test trials in major markets like London and Strathclyde and now they plan to expand it to 25 exchanges. This would be increased to 33 exchanges, as the trial would pick up speed in the coming months. Some of the areas being targeted are Cornwall, Greater London, Northern Ireland, South Glamorgan, and Strathclyde.
They aim to get around 150,000 end users signed up for this expanded trial in the market.
