First rains of the monsoon, Sify could not handle the first 15 minutes

Monsoons are finally here. So, the days are here when it would rains for hours at a stretch. Water will overflow the roads. Power would go out regularly. Where does Sify stand a chance? Nowhere apparently. First rains of the monsoon and Sify could not handle the first 15 minutes. It went down meekly on its knees. Giving a warning, worse days are ahead. Considering no one will be available for 2 more hours to hear my problems and they would have a solid reason for not fixing my connections (its raining sir, we will have to wait for it to stop), I think I should go to sleep.
But wait, who will tell Sify guys that my net is down? Apparently, I cannot sleep till the time someone turns their phone on to receive the incoming calls. Because my cablewalla do not even have a PC at his premises, he won’t have any way of knowing that an entire portion of his network is down. How ironical this situation is. People providing me net services do not even have the facility available at their own premises. Hah! At least they are better than they were 5 months back… :)
Update: Went down again in the evening. 2 times in a single day… Hopefully this won’t be the beginning of a trend. Luckily the response time has improved massively…
