Airtel Seychelles to launch 3G services in Seychelles

While we in India are still waiting for affordable 3G services, Bharti is launching similar services in the Seychelles market. Bharti Enterprises has their subsidiary Airtel Seychelles working in the country and they are going to soon launch next generation 3G services there with an initial investment of Rs (Seychelles) 44 million.

Bharti has a presence in this market for almost 7 years now and this latest launch would see ensure that the telecommunications infrastructure in Seychelles be at par with the most advanced countries in the world. This launch would bring broadband internet access, video calling, picture messaging (MMS), data cards, prepaid roaming, advanced billing system, and loads of other value added services to the mobile users in the country.

Sunil Mittal, chairperson and group managing director, Bharti Enterprises said in a statement about their new initiatives in the country: “This is a major landmark for us and underlines our commitment to providing the latest technology and world-class services to our customers”. The company would also be providing fast and more reliable Internet access of up to 384 kbps using this technology in the country.
