Reliance new package scheme to cost Rs. 1 per minute for all calls
Reliance Communication has released their latest scheme for their prepaid and post paid range of customers. The company has launched their latest tariff plans and they would now be charging Rs. 1 per minute on calls made all over India! In a way, Reliance has done what the Communications Minister Dayanidhi Maran envisioned a couple of months ago through the ‘OneIndia’ plan bringing uniform call rates across the country.
Reliance’s One Nation, One Tariff would offer calls anywhere in India at Re 1 per minute. Reliance Infocomm President (Wireless) SP Shukla said in a statement: ‘This is our New Year’s gift to subscribers. They can now exchange greetings without worrying much about the calling rates. Coming close on the heels of the ‘Lifetime validity voucher’, this plan will further increase the options for our subscribers.’
Interestingly, as per the scheme the consumer can make calls to any phone, both mobile and fixed line, irrespective of the operator at this rate through his/her reliance mobile phone. After the recently launched lifetime, incoming free offers from the mobile phone companies, this might just start another price war amongst the mobile companies in India.
Reliance’s Infocomm division already has a subscriber base of around 7 million as the latest figures available from sources.

Offers in 2006 are better like
1) Life time incoming free.
2) Rs 2500/- talktime.
3) Rs 1100/- with 1100 SMS free.
ETC etc etc……
Can’t it be any offer like we can get lifetime sms, incoming free in a single package(You can fixed a range of mobile handsets). So that a customer will have to pay once and can get the benefits. Today people need more offer in single package at lowest costs and validity for lifetime. This will be the gr8 offer.

Yes, to an extent, these telecom sector is playing completely. one side a low call rate scheme is launched, and on the other side the denomination of the card is set quite high with a low duration. If we see the free lifetime option, the call rates there in are high dude, and if I talk about 1100 voucher offering STD @ 1 rs. , here the duration is only 1 month. This is the point where parity is not justified. Smart game is being played, need to be quite cautious
