Touchwood… finally I got some reliability from the net connection, but still not good enough that I fix the punch line of this Blog. Some minor issues still remain. I don’t know why the connection automatically logs me out sometimes for no particular reason. I understand it makes sense to automatically logout connections that are not being used for a particular time period for the users who are on limited time period connection (who might forget to logout every time they login) but for unlimited connections and that too when I am working or a download is in progress. This is totally unexplainable. Might have to send a complaint letter to Sify people…
Another thing is the compensatory package of 15 days that Sify provided me with. Well they sure were of around 15 days but 100 megs each (2 packs of 7 days), which is totally bullshit considering I am on an unlimited data transfer package otherwise and 100 megs is what I can generally do in few hours (I don’t get speeds of more than 6-7 kbps so it still takes a few hours). So the 14 day pack did not last even 2 days and I was logged out. I called them and explained them the situation and they provided another 7 days pack (100 megs.). Crap, I think I will buy an extension pack myself before I get logged out again after the 100 hours are consumed in the morning…
Why don’t Sify people understand that they are providing BROADBAND services? They don’t give broadbandish speeds but to expect people to live in 100 megs for a week? That’s crazy.
