BSNL collaborating with Oxigen India Prepaid Services

Users of BSNL prepaid mobile services have a reason to cheer for now. The state operated telecom giant has collaborated with Oxigen India Prepaid Services. This service would offer the prepaid BSNL mobile connection users added options to recharge easily starting this month. Mobile users would be issued a secret code on payment of charges for the preferred recharge amount, which they can use to recharge their mobile connections.

Chief General Manager of the BSNL Kerala Circle S.A. Thomas announced this new value added offering to their customers in the state. Oxigen plans to have around 3,000 such locations around the state offering this new service to BSNL users. Users would however also has the option to recharge their prepaid cards through the regular mechanisms.

Thomas added: “As of today, the daily requests for Excel connections are in the range of 3,000 to 4,000 a day.” BSNL also announced that the new lifetime validity Excel Anant service for Rs.949 will be offered from January 16 in the circle. In addition, they would also be making available the new recharge coupons of Rs.200 from January 20.

The telecom giant has further plans to setup 800 more mobile towers to ensure complete coverage throughout the state. Thomas added on this issue: “As of now 1,010 towers are on air in Kerala. The circle has now more than 12 lakh customers for the mobile services. BSNL’s target will be to make this 14 lakhs by the end of March this year.”
