Rains have started, Sify is giving me the worst possible gateway reliability, the local CTO who cannot provide reliable local network in normal weather conditions don’t really assure me of a reliable network under rainy conditions and I have around 1 GB of data to upload for a project on my 48kbps line. I have already spent 12 hours in which I was able upload around 20 megs worth of data that too with so many disconnections that I am not really sure how many files I have uploaded are the complete versions. God I hate the file size differences between Linux and Windows OS files…
In the last 12 hours I have seen dropping pings, Sify’s internet dancing, complete network breakdown, and now the local network is somehow working but the Sify’s own internet backbone is down. So much so for a reliable internet connectivity in the name of broadband that can’t even run smoothly for a week. I would have loved to have TouchTel DSL connection at this very moment…
