Hutch enters Tamil Nadu circle by re-branding BPL Mobile Cellular

Hutchison Essar had recently acquired BPL Mobile Cellular and is as a result now entering the Tamil Nadu circle by re-branding the BPL Mobile services. The company has now set themselves the target of increasing their market share to over 20 per cent by 2008.

Hutch already has a presence in around 16 mobile circles which accounts for almost 90% of all the mobile users in the country, the company is targeting to expand their user base 20-22 per cent within 12-18 months in Tamil Nadu.

Hutch is also waiting for regulatory clearance for rebranding the Maharashtra BPL Circle and is planning to expand its network in a phased manner from the present 210 towns and 410 cellsites. This would also increase their subscriber base from 14.5 million, as on February end.

Hutch CEO Kumar Ramanathan said in a statement that the company is aiming to become the most preferred mobile service in the country and are expanding fast. In fact, they expanded their services to 70 towns in the last one month.

i m a new custmer of ur service in tamiladu,i tried many times at “111″ n “9843098430″ to talk ur custmer care.but thr was no respose….!and i have recharged national sms card at 22 july,nw still it hs not been activated…….ur representative told me it will be activated within 24 hrs bt it’s more than 96 hrs.wts goping on …………is it ur service………!
