Reliance Infocomm reduces ISD rates by 45-69%
The leaders in the CDMA mobile technology in India, Reliance Infocomm has announced that they are reducing the charges of ISD calls on their telephones by 45-69%. Anil Ambani-controlled Reliance Infocomm slashed the prices for calls made to US, Canada, Middle East, and Europe.
These new rate plans are available across all their plans and packages for their consumers. Both postpaid and prepaid customers would be able to enjoy these benefits. This also means that Reliance is now offering the cheapest international calling rates in the Indian market.
Under the recently launched ‘One India’ plan, calls to US, Canada, fixed lines in Europe, Australia, New Zealand and South-East Asia have been reduced to Rs 6 per minute. These charges were around Rs 14.25 per minute.
For other plans, the charges are now down to Rs 7.20 per minute from Rs 12.99-14.25 per minute earlier. Calls made to Gulf, Middle East and Africa would now be charged at Rs 8 per minute from Rs 17.25 under `One Nation` plans. For other reliance plans, these charges are Rs 9.99 per minute.
