Airtel collaborates with Disney for mobile content
India’s largest private telecom provider Airtel has collaborated with entertainment giants Disney to provide mobile content for their consumers in the Indian market. This comes just after Airtel launched their Easy Music stores around the country.
Airtel would now be offering Disney cartoon mobisodes to its subscribers on mobile phones. The two companies have launched the initiative called ‘Disney Mobile Theatre’. This would bring six Disney animated series in the form of 30 - second shorts developed for the mobile platform.
Airtel customers would also get access to Disney images, animations, videos, ringtones, and games. Airtel would be offering this value added content services on their mobile portal Airtel Live! Ringtones would be available from their Hello Tunes portal.
Mark Handler, executive vice-president and MD-international, Walt Disney Internet group said on this occasion: “The launch of Disney branded mobile content on Airtel, including Disney Mobile Theatre and personalization, content and games would create an engaging and unique mobile experience for customers hereâ€.
