Huawei Technologies to expand their presence in the Indian market
Chinese telecom major Huawei Technologies has said that they would be expanding their largest overseas R & D centre located at Bangalore. The company plans to invest around USD 100 million on this expansion project.
However, this might see a delay as the company is yet to get approval from the Indian government for their planned foray into the Indian telecom equipment market.
Huawei Technologies India Pvt Ltd is the company’s Indian arm and it wants to expand their worker base from the current 1,200 to 2,000 within three years.
The company added that they have already submitted its proposal to the Government regarding permission to set up the manufacturing facility with an investment of $ 64 million.
