The humiliation of using Sify Broadband
Sify Broadband August 5th, 2004
Are you a dialup user?
If yes, tell me this.
When you are surfing the net and there is a power cut in your area… Does your net go down?
No? Oh wow… Because I am on Sify Broadband and mine does. And well it does not even come back on until the power returns.
Another question. What speeds do you get when you are online?
I guess around 4-5 KBps. Well, me too! But well… most of the time when there is a fluctuation or a power cuts or a problem in the switches, the speeds drop down to bytes… Not that the people in charge are worried about it.
OK. How much do you pay for your services?
27 bucks an hour. Hmm… Now I get it… I pay just 22 rupees a day. That’s why my net sucks so badly. :(
Maybe I should switch back to dialup or better stop staying online at all. The people who promised me to keep me online 24×7 cannot even keep me online for 10 hours. And these are the people who assured me of quality services when I shifted from Faridabad to Panchkula. With the false promises of wireless services at decent prices! Think, this is going to be a long long fight. With the CTOs and the company that decided to take the easy way around to spreading their network.
