Looks like I am being a pain in the ass
Sify Broadband August 5th, 2004
Just wanted to make this point clear. The problems I have with the services are due to the incompetency of the CTO. Sify’s own people have been more than helpful. I have few names in mind I had like to mention but I guess, I should not. :)
They would know!

i have been facing many many problems with sify since i got my connection 7 days ago. Sify says that on an unlimited account, the speeds that we would get are 16 kbps-48 kbps and download speeds between 2-4 kbps, now i have been getting speeds like 821 bytes per second for download and surfing speeds like 12 kbps….. i have complained to sify many times, but its of no use… hey my dialup was faster……
god knows who i should approach, CTO says its not his problem, sify says “everything's fine sir” ….. i am just hoping that if i am lucky then in this lifetime i might get to see 48 kbps….
one more thing… i cannot even ping my gateway, “destination host unreachable” … i wonder why, but still my net works despite ping failing….
