Reliance to offer cheap Nokia 1255 to their customers
Indian telecom company Reliance Communications has said that they are working with Nokia to bring the low-cost Nokia 1255 mobile handset to their customers.
The two companies would market this CDMA mobile phone at a price of Rs 1,999. The product would be targeted at the first time buyers and is one of the first CDMA phone from Nokia costing less than Rs. 2000.
The phone comes with a black and white screen (sad) and has features such as a two-way hands-free speakerphone, voice recorder and a calendar with an alarm clock among others.

Shukla, President, Wireless Business, Reliance Communications spoke on this collaboration: “Indian telecom sector is currently witnessing an unprecedented growth curve and a mobile phone has become a multifunctional device. Reliance Communications is committed to provide the best service offering on quality handsets to our many million customers. This association with Nokia aims to further enhance our superior value offerings, both in terms of service experience as well as functionality, at affordable prices to Reliance Communications’ customers.”
Reliance is aiming at sales of 2 million Nokia 1255 handsets over the next 6 months.
