Jagdish Kini joins Aircel as Group CEO

Chennai, October 10, 2006 ? Aircel is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Jagdish Kini as Group Chief Executive Officer effective from November 1, 2006. Mr. Jagdish will be leading the Aircel team for its all-India operations.

Speaking about his new assignment, Mr. Jagdish Kini, the newly appointed Group CEO of Aircel said, “My primary focus is to transform Aircel from being a regional operator to a nation-wide operator and further strengthen its customer-centric focus with new products and services.” He added, “I believe that my prior experience in the telecom industry would help me in my new undertaking and I am excited to be part of the company’s core operations.”

Jagdish brings with him over 30 years of professional experience having worked in global majors such as Procter & Gamble, Parke Davis / Warner Lambert, L’Oreal and Gillette (Middle East & Asia). Jagdish’s career achievements include the setting up of Indian operations of L’Oreal and also Airtel’s Karnataka operations.

Jagdish is an MBA graduate from Symbiosis Institute, Pune. He has also done an advanced management programme from CEDEP / Insead Institute , Fontaine Bleau, France.
