What a pity

It worked fine for 3 continues days. And then this power cut happened for 5 minutes. And due to lack of power back that my cable walla is unable to provide, the network went down. And when the light came back… it was still not working due to some switch in the route hung due to fluctuations. So, I had to make 3 phone calls to 3 different people: Sify’s representative, local linesman and local CTO in that order coz each of them told me to also call the next one to get the problem solved.

And well, I am pretty much sure the problem will get sorted out (full recovery can take anywhere between minutes to hours and this because it’s daytime. Night would have meant, go to sleep dude…) but well, it’s a shame that just because the CTO won’t put the line on backup… the fun of 3 days of no problems turn sour in 2 minutes. 15 minutes and I am still offline. This is what ruins it all for me.

Update: 30 minutes. Pretty good considering past experiences! :D
