Singapore Telecommunication (SingTel) has reported that they now have more than 100 million mobile subscribers.

The company has gained from impressive growth in its Indian and Indonesian operations. SingTel had 100.8 million customers at end-September.

This is an improvement of around 36 percent from about 74 million a year earlier.

SingTel said in a statement: “This is the largest mobile subscriber base in Asia outside of China. The strongest growth came from Bharti and Telkomsel.”

They have around 30.49 percent interest in Bharti and a 35 percent stake in Telkomsel. Both are dominating players in their domestic markets.
